Low-voltage SP4T supports RFID

California Eastern Labs has announced the availability of a CMOS SP4T MMIC switch from NEC. The UPD5731T6M is optimized for wideband operation (10MHz to 2.5GHz), low insertion loss (0.7dB typical at 0.1 to 0.5GHz; 1.0dB typical at 1GHz), and high isolation (35 dB typ at 1.0 GHz). It operates with voltages of 1.8 to 5.3V and requires only two control pins, thanks to an onboard logic decoder. The UPD5731T6M is well suited for switching filters and antenna tuning elements in low power NFC (near field communications) and RFID receivers. CEL reports that this switch is currently the smallest SP4T Switch IC in the industry, housed in a 2.0 x 2.0 mm TSQFN 12 pin package.

The UPD5731T6M is in stock and available now. Evaluation boards are also available through CEL's network of sales offices or from Mouser Electronics. For more information on NEC's broad line of GaAs and CMOS RFIC Switches, visit www.cel.com .
